Levocetirizine sold under the brand name Xyzal and others. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergy symptoms.
Uses:
Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that can be used to reduce allergy symptoms such as red, itchy, and watery eyes. A runny nose; sneezing; a rash; or a reaction to an insect bite or bite. Levocetirizine is used to treat symptoms of perennial (also called perennial) allergy in adults and children after 6 months of age.
Levocetirizine is also used to treat the itching and swelling caused by chronic (persistent) hives in adults and children over 6 months of age.
Dosage:
Levocetirizine is available as an oral tablet. It is usually taken once a day in the evening, with or without food. Take levocetirizine at the same time each day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist to clarify any areas you do not understand. Take levocetirizine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less, or more often than directed by your doctor.
