 Valsartan sold under brand names such as Diovan. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that constrict blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. is taken orally

Uses:

  • Valsartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children from 1 year of age. Lowering blood pressure can lower the risk of stroke and heart attack.
  • Valsartan is also used in adults to treat heart failure, reduce the risk of hospitalization, and reduce the risk of death after a heart attack.

Dosage:

The combination of valsartan and sacubitril is available as an oral tablet. In general, take this medicine twice a day with or without food. To help you remember the combination of valsartan and sacubitril, take them at about the same time each day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist for clarification on any part you don't understand. Take Valsartan and Sacubitril as directed. Do not take more or less, or more often than directed by your doctor.
