Buspirone, sold under the brand name Buspar, among others, is a medicine essentially used to treat nervousness problems, especially summed up uneasiness jumble.
Buspirone was first manufactured in 1968, and in 1986, it was granted medical use approval in the United States. Buspirone is available as a generic medication.
Uses:
An anti-anxiety medication called buspirone works by altering brain chemicals that people with anxiety may have out of balance.
Buspirone is utilized to treat side effects of nervousness, like trepidation, strain, crabbiness, dazedness, beating heartbeat, and other actual side effects.
Buspirone is not an antipsychotic and should not be used in place of psychotropic medications prescribed by your doctor.
Dosage:
Buspirone can be taken with or without food, but you should always take it the same way each time.
Breaking some buspirone tablets into two or three pieces allows you to take a smaller amount of the medication at each dose. If a tablet has been broken incorrectly and the fragment is either too large or too small, you should not use it. Follow the dosage instructions given to you by your doctor.
If you have switched from another medication for anxiety to buspirone, you may need to gradually reduce the dose of the other medication rather than stopping it all at once.
Side effects:
Nausea, headaches, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating are all common buspirone side effects. Serious side effects include hallucinations, serotonin syndrome, and seizures.
