Flecainide belongs to a class of drugs called antiarrhythmics. It works by slowing the heart's electrical signals to stabilize the heart rhythm.
Uses:
- Flecainide is used to prevent certain types of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Flecainide may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
- Do not use flecainide if you have a serious heart condition such as bundle branch block or atrioventricular block (without a pacemaker), or if your heart is unable to pump blood properly.
Not recommended for patients with structural or ischemic heart disease.
Dosage:
Flecainide is available as an oral tablet. In general, take once every 12 hours. Some people may take flecainide once every eight hours he takes.
