What is Katuki? - Information & uses

Katuki, also known in Latin as "Picrorhiza kroa", is found in the Himalayan regions of India, China, Pakistan, Bhutan and Nepal. Katuki has been used in herbal medicine for over 5,000 years and is also mentioned in ancient classical Ayurvedic literature, making him one of the oldest known medicinal plants in Central Asia. As a wild plant, the katuki has historically been threatened by overfishing, but efforts have been made to protect it in its natural habitat.
