BMI is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. It is calculated by dividing a person's weight in kilograms by their height in meters squared (kg/m^2). A BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 is considered healthy, while a BMI of 25 or higher is considered overweight.
