What is Cholecalciferol ? Full information, usage, benefits and side effects

Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D3 and cholecalciferol, is a form of vitamin D that is produced in the skin when exposed to sunlight. It is found in some foods and can be taken as a dietary supplement.Cholecalciferol is produced in the skin after exposure to UVB light. It is converted to calcifediol (25-hydroxyvitamin D) in the liver and to calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D) in the kidneys. One of its effects is to increase calcium absorption from the intestine. Found in foods such as some fish, beef liver, eggs and cheese.
