Fluticasone is a glucocorticoid manufactured to treat nasal conditions. Both fluticasone furoate and fluticasone propionate esters are also used as topical anti-inflammatory agents and inhaled corticosteroids, and are much more commonly used by comparison. When fluticasone nasal spray is used to treat nasal polyps, it is usually sprayed into each nostril 1 to 2 times a day, twice a day. For adults, start treatment with a high dose of fluticasone nasal spray and reduce the dose as symptoms improve. If symptoms do not improve, increase dose.Reduce dose as child's symptoms improve. Carefully follow directions on your prescription or product label and ask your doctor or pharmacist for clarification on any part you do not understand. Use fluticasone exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it, or use it more often than indicated on the package label or prescribed by your doctor.

Side Effects:

  • headache
  • dry nose, tingling, tingling, irritation

  • diarrhea
  • bloody mucus in nose
  • dizzy
  • infections of any kind (bacterial, viral or fungal)
  • glaucoma or cataract.
  • Infections with parasites (such as giardia, malaria, leishmaniasis, hookworms, pinworms, and toxoplasmosis)
  • tuberculosis
  • herpes infection of the eyes
  • liver disease
  • low bone density
  • Weak immune system
