What is Celecoxib? Full information, usage, benefits and side effects

Information

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and COX-2 inhibitors are Celecoxib and Celebrex, among others.

Uses:

Numerous conditions, including arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and menstrual pain, can be treated with celecoxib.
Children who are at least two years old are treated for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis with celecoxib. Additionally, it is utilized in the treatment of colon polyps that are inherited.
Adult migraine headaches with or without an aura can be treated with Elyxyb. Elyxyb can only be used to treat migraine headaches, not to stop a headache that has already started.

Dosage:

Celecoxib can be taken orally as a capsule. Typically, celecoxib capsules are taken once or twice daily. On the off chance that you are taking up to 200 mg of celecoxib cases all at once, you might take the prescription regardless of food. Celecoxib capsules that contain more than 200 milligrams per capsule should be taken with food. Inquire as to whether you are don't know whether you really want to take your prescription with food. Take your celecoxib capsules at the same time each day to help you remember to take them.
You can open the capsules and sprinkle the contents over a teaspoon of applesauce that is either room temperature or cold if you are unable to swallow them or if you are giving this medication to a child. The mixture can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to six hours. You should swallow the entire mixture when you are ready to take your medication. After that, ensure that you have swallowed the entire mixture by drinking water to flush it out.

Side effects:

Abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea are all common side effects. Heart attacks, strokes, gastrointestinal perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney failure, and anaphylaxis are all possible serious side effects. People at high risk of heart disease should not use. Ibuprofen and naproxen, two other NSAIDs, share the same risks. It is not recommended to use it during breastfeeding or the later stages of pregnancy.
