What is Vasaka? - Information & uses

  • Vasaka is a tall, herbaceous evergreen shrub with a dense appearance due to numerous branches growing upward on opposite sides. The flowers of this plant are white and purple, with inflorescences.
  • Vasaka's botanical name is Adhatoda vasica, also known as the Malabar Nut.
  • Vasaka is rich in anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and expectorant properties and is very important in treating cold, cough and flu symptoms. It also reduces congestion in the chest and nose, removes excess phlegm and stops runny nose.
